Coordinating equipment improvements with Asset Engineering and Operational colleagues, following established SOPs.
Help managing and progressing Maintenance Work Requests (MWRs), ensuring stakeholders are informed and involved at key decision points.
Providing hands-on support to maintain and improve equipment reliability, including troubleshooting and maintenance assistance.
Liaising with external contractors and coordinating site visits, ensuring safe systems of work are in place.
Supporting GMP and Data Integrity compliance, including identifying and implementing improvements.
Maintaining and delivering bespoke engineered solutions for lab and plant-scale challenges.
Collecting and analysing fault data to develop corrective action plans and improve equipment uptime and reliability.
It is essential that candidates are educated to HNC/Foundation Degree level (or equivalent) in a Scientific or Engineering discipline plus relevant industrial experience, or educated to Degree level in a Scientific/Engineering discipline and;
Have strong technical expertise with underpinning knowledge in both electrical and mechanical engineering.
Can demonstrate evidence of technical problem solving and the ability to apply theoretical and practical engineering methods.
Possess hands-on craft skills, including safe use of hand and power tools.
Can demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build strong working relationships.
Possess good problem-solving skills with the ability to logically trace faults to root cause.
Are confident using own judgement within standard engineering/scientific practices and knowing when to seek advice.
Have clear, concise, communication skills and the ability to document technical decisions and data effectively.
It would also be advantageous if candidates had chartered status or membership of a relevant professional body and had;
Experience contributing to cross-team engineering initiatives or continuous improvement projects.
Familiarity with GMP environments or regulated manufacturing settings.
