The role

The role

CPI are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Procurement Apprentice to join our Procurement Team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience of working in an exciting business within procurement whilest working towards professional qualifications. You will assist in purchasing goods, works, and services efficiently and in line with CPI’s policies and public procurement regulations and help manage contracts.

Key tasks

As an Procurement Apprentice, you will

  • Assist with tenders and procurement exercises to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

  • Assist with managing contracts, to maintain, monitor and help build strong relationships and good contract performance.

  • Maintain accurate records and a compliant audit trail for all procurement activities.

  • Support transactional and operational duties within the department.

  • Ensure accurate data entry into CPI’s finance and purchase order systems.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise value for money while maintaining compliance.

  • Escalate issues to senior leadership when appropriate.

The person

The person

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

  • Willing to work towards CIPS Levels 3 & 4.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.

  • A clear communicator who can engage with stakeholders.

  • A Confident, Self-motivated, person who is able to work under pressure either as an individual and part of a team.

Desirable:

  • CIPS Level 2 or IoSCM Level 2 qualification.

  • Experience in a busy office environment.
